In 1950s Rio de Janeiro, two sisters, Eurídice and Guida, live with their conservative parents. Each sister harbors a passionate dream: Eurídice aspires to become a renowned pianist, while Guida yearns for love. Their lives take a dramatic turn when they are separated and forced to live apart. Despite the distance, both sisters never give up hope of finding each other again and take control of their destinies.
