Ghostwriter Alice returns to Malta after an accident that caused her memory loss and writer's block. She stays in her husband Max's family villa with him, hoping that revisiting the location will help unlock her memories. Body of Deceit is a 2017 Italian mystery thriller directed by Alessandro Capone. The film revolves around ghostwriter Alice who suffers from memory loss and writer's block after a tragic accident in Malta. She returns to the island with her husband Max, hoping that revisiting the scene will help her recover both physically and professionally. Upon their arrival at Max's family villa, they meet Sara, a seductive local woman hired as house help.
