Utilizing a collage of grainy textures, archival-style footage, and heavily stylized imagery, the film creates a dreamlike, gothic atmosphere that mimics the fragmented nature of historical memory. It focuses on the physical and symbolic preparation of a character—showing the "behind-the-scenes" elements of costume and staging—to highlight how a historical figure like Elizabeth Bathory is less a fixed reality and more a deliberate "invention" of cinema and media.
