ストーリー
After their first adventure with the Hot Tub Time Machine, Lou and Nick are living very well off their ill-gotten gains, while Jacob still cannot rely on Lou to be a positive role model. When an unknown assailant breaks into Lou's mansion and shoots him, Nick and Jacob take him for another trip in the hot tub. They emerge in the year 2025, where they must figure out who shot Lou and prevent it from happening again.

In 'Hot Tub Time Machine 2,' Lou's lavish lifestyle, fueled by ill-gotten gains from their first time-traveling escapade, comes to an abrupt end when he's shot in his mansion. Nick and Jacob rush him back to the hot tub, hoping another journey will save him. They emerge in 2025, where they discover Lou's fate was no random act but a future that must be changed. Meanwhile, Adam Jr., left behind in their original timeline, joins forces with his older self to preserve the past. With time running out and bullets flying forward, Nick, Jacob, and Adam Sr. race against destiny to save Lou and restore their present.
