In 'Les aventures extraordinaires d'Adèle Blanc-Sec', Adèle Blanc-Sec embarks on an extraordinary journey to save her catatonic sister. Desperate for a cure, she travels to Egypt where she retrieves a mummified doctor from an ancient tomb. Her hope is that Professor Espérandieu can bring the doctor back to life, allowing him to use his centuries-old skills to heal her sister. Meanwhile, in Paris, Espérandieu accidentally brings a pterodactyl to life, causing chaos throughout the city.
