Mike, a freelance journalist, becomes enamored with Claire, a blonde woman who lives in his apartment building and works as a secretary. Mike, believing he can change her sexual orientation towards men, offers her a job as his personal assistant after she loses hers. As they spend more time together, their bond deepens, much to the dismay of Inez, Claire's girlfriend.
