Marieke, a 20-year-old woman living in Brussels with her distant mother Jeanne, works at a chocolate factory by day and seeks warmth and strength in the arms of much older men by night. This pattern is disrupted when Jacoby, an editor searching for Marieke's father's last manuscript, arrives.
