Mascara follows three friends approaching their thirtieth birthdays who are grappling with varying degrees of personal turmoil. The first woman, still emotionally scarred from her mother's suicide, finds herself in a relationship with a photographer who has an unsettling interest in his teenage daughter's developing body.
