Based on Dostoevsky's novella, 'Notes from Underground' follows the protagonist known only as Underground Man (Henry Czerny). The story unfolds primarily through his video diary entries, where he expresses his deep self-loathing and dissatisfaction with contemporary society. A dinner party attended by his old college friends triggers his bitterness, leading him to seek refuge in a nearby brothel. There, he meets Liza (Lee), a young prostitute.
