In Medieval England, Duke Norman of Norwich plots to seize the throne by eliminating all potential heirs. After arranging for the murder of Lord Harkin, Norman plans to marry his dimwitted half-brother Albert to Heather McGregor, the rightful heir, to solidify his claim. However, Norman's sisters Agatha and Jane reveal his plot to Heather, taking her to the Torture Dungeon to witness the horrors he inflicts on those who oppose him. Meanwhile, Norman orders the death of Albert, Jane, and Agatha. As Heather realizes she is the true heir, Norman attempts to kill her, but is ultimately speared by Margaret the Hag before being trampled to death.
