Moira, married to an abusive husband who is having an affair with his secretary, starts experiencing recurrent dreams of meeting a mysterious man and engaging in passionate encounters with him. She consults an astrologer about these dreams but remains unaware that Richard, her dream lover, is real. Meanwhile, Richard also experiences these shared psychic dreams. When Moira sees the house from her dreams while out driving, she finds Richard working there as a renovator. They are instantly drawn to each other and begin an affair. Realizing they are meant for one another but knowing Moira's husband will cause trouble if he finds out about their relationship, they decide they must find a way to remove him from the picture.
