Charlize Theron, born August 7, 1975, is a South African-American actress and producer. She gained international recognition in the late 1990s with films like 'The Devil's Advocate' (1997) and 'Mighty Joe Young' (1998). Theron won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Aileen Wuornos in 'Monster' (2003), becoming the first South African to win an acting Oscar. She has since starred in numerous successful action films such as 'The Italian Job' (2003) and 'Mad Max: Fury Road' (2015). In the rail yards of Queens, New York City, contractors repair and rebuild the city's subway cars, but these lucrative contracts are rife with corruption. When Leo Handler gets out of prison, he returns to find his aunt married to Frank Olchin, one of the big contractors who is battling a minority-owned firm for contracts. Leo's best friend Willie Gutierrez works for Frank as his bag man and heads a crew that sabotages the work of the Puerto Rican-owned firm. Desperate for a job, Leo agrees to be Willie's backup. However, things go awry one night when a cop identifies Leo, making him a target and forcing him to consider those he can still trust, including his ailing mom and cousin Erica.
