Set in the rugged landscapes of the Western Pyrenees around 778 AD, 'Irati' is an adventure drama rooted in Basque mythology and folklore. The film follows a Basque warlord who faces religious persecution when his land is threatened by the invading armies of Charlemagne's Frankish empire. In response to this impending threat, the warlord seeks aid from his ancestral gods, drawing on traditional pagan beliefs for protection.
