完全な経歴
Amy Lynn Hartzler, known professionally as Amy Lee, was born on December 13, 1981 to John Lee and Sara Cargill. She is a classically trained pianist who spent nine years studying classical piano in her youth. At age 13, she met guitarist Ben Moody at a summer camp in 1994 while performing on the piano. Moody was impressed by her singing and pianistic talents, prompting them to form Evanescence together after several name changes, including Childish Intentions and Stricken. They were signed by Big-Wig Enterprises in 2000 and released 'Origin', a collection of demos. After adding David Hodges to the band, they secured a record deal with Wind-Up Records in 2002, releasing their debut album 'Fallen' which sold seven times platinum worldwide. This success led to subsequent albums 'The Open Door' (2006) and Evanescence (2011).
