Debi Johnson was born on March 13, 1958, in Torrance, California, USA. Her birth name is Debi Nicolle Johnson. Growing up in a family with three brothers—two of whom became policemen and one a Marine Corps drill sergeant—she initially pursued a career as a flight attendant after high school before transitioning into children's clothing sales. Her life changed when she entered the "30th Anniversary Playmate Search" contest, leading to her being named the Playboy Playmate of the Month for October 1984. Following her appearance in the magazine, she became a frequent figure in the Playboy world, appearing in various videos and numerous newsstand special editions throughout the following years.
