完全な経歴
Dorothée, whose real name is Frédérique Hoschedé, was born on July 14, 1953, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, France.
The daughter of an engineer and a housewife, she was discovered in 1973 during a contest and began her career as a television host for children’s programming. Over the next two decades, she became a cultural icon in France, most notably for her work on the long-running show Club Dorothée (1987–1997), which played a crucial role in popularizing Japanese anime in the country.
In addition to her television success, Dorothée established a major career as a pop singer, releasing an album nearly every year between 1980 and 1996 and performing record-breaking concerts at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy. She also explored acting, appearing in films such as François Truffaut's Love on the Run (1979) and Robert Enrico's Pile ou face (1981). Even after the end of her flagship show, she remained a beloved figure of French pop culture, receiving the title of Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2010 for her contributions to the arts.
