Iaia Forte was born in Naples, Italy. After his mother's death, he returned to his hometown and found work as a lorry driver. While working on the streets, he met Angela, with whom he fell in love despite being homosexual himself. Their relationship was complicated but they managed to find ways to express their affection for each other. Adamo also became involved with a woman named Adelaide, leading to a murder which took place in the impoverished suburbs of Naples.
