Karen Velez (born Karen Mae Radies) was born on January 27, 1961, in Rockville Centre, Long Island, New York. The Puerto Rican-American model rose to international fame after being named Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for December 1984, followed by the title of Playmate of the Year in 1985.
Beyond her modeling career, she was known for her high-profile marriage to actor Lee Majors from 1988 to 1994, with whom she had three children. In her later life, she pursued a career as a certified master hypnotist and hypnotherapist. Karen Velez passed away on July 2, 2023, at the age of 62 in Downey, California.
