She gained global recognition as Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga series (2008–2012). Afterward, she favored independent films like Camp X-Ray (2014) and Still Alice (2014). Her performance in Clouds of Sils Maria (2015) earned her a César Award for Best Supporting Actress. She directed her first film, Come Swim (2017), and reprised mainstream roles in Charlie's Angels (2019) and Happiest Season (2020).
