Mareme N'Diaye stars as Amin, a Senegalese immigrant living and working in France. He left behind his wife Aisha and their three children to send most of his earnings back home. His life in France is solitary, confined mainly to his residence and work sites. During the renovation of Gabrielle's house, Amin meets the middle-aged white nurse who becomes involved with him.
