Born on May 21, 1991, in Ostrava, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic), Vanda Chaloupková (briefly known as Vanda Pilař Chaloupková during her marriage) is a versatile Czech actress, director, and creative producer.
She began her artistic journey at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava and gained early professional experience at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre. After moving to Prague, she became a member of the Na Fidlovačce Theatre company and has since performed across numerous prestigious stages, including the Karlín Music Theatre, Divadlo Bez zábradlí, and the Komedie Theatre, where she appeared in the production of David Bowie’s Lazarus.
Beyond the stage, Chaloupková has built a significant screen career. She is well-known for her roles in films such as The President (Prezidentka, 2022) and Avalanche of Love (Láska hory přenáší, 2022), as well as popular television series like The First Republic (První republika), Modrý kód, and the Netflix series Haunted. An accomplished dancer and polyglot fluent in English, she also works behind the scenes, having written and directed the play Dávno dospělí.
